SPARTANS F.C. 1998-99

STEVEN OLIVER-Goalkeeper. Tall, young and talented. Previously played for third division side Cowdenbeath.

FRASER WILSON-Goalkeeper. 19 years old, 5'11". Formerly with Dundee Utd, Queen of the South and Napier University.

MARK THOMSON-Defender. Team Captain. Experienced, dominant player. Capped by Scottish Universities. Previous club Meadowbank Thistle.

ROGER McKEATING-Defender. Great reader of the game,"Mr Reliable". A product of Spartans youth development system.

PHIL FINDLAY-Defender. Experienced, tall & dominant defender. Capped for Scotland and GB at university level. Previously with Gala Fairydean.

MARK BURNS-Defender. Pacey, athletic with lots of good years ahead of him in football.

GREIG MUNRO-Midfield. 19 years old, 5'10". Glasgow Rangers, Dundee United and Dunfermline Athletic for spells. Previously with Ross County and Berwick Rangers, with whom he won a Under 18 Scottish Cup winners medal last year.

SHANE MITCHELL-Midfield. Skillful ball player. Previous clubs include Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hibs.

KENNY ETTLES-Midfield. Great competitor. Captained Scottish Universities and British Universities. Previous clubs include Rothes and Elgin City.

NEIL KNOX-Midfield. Strong, dominant player. Capped by Scottish Universities.

STUART COWIE-Midfield. 19 years old. Previously signed on a schoolboy form with Aberdeen then joined Deveronvale, and has captained the north of Scotland U-18 select side.

PAUL COWIE-Midfield. 20 Years old. No relation to Suart Cowie. Ex Wick Academy, Ross County.

PAUL LEETION-Midfield. 38 years old. Former clubs include Falkirk, Stirling Albion, Meadowbank Thistle, East Stirlingshire, Cowdenbeath and Berwick Rangers. Has won a Scottish youth cap and is a two times Second Division winner.

NAILL CORSER-Midfielder. Previously with Buckie Thistle and ST Johnstone.

GRANT GILFILLAN-Midfielder. Formerly with Scalloway FC, North Merchiston Boys Club.

PHILL HOBBINS-Forward. 23 years old. Formerly with Lothian Thistle, Symington Tinto, Partick Thistle, Motherwell. Scottish Universities won British cup with Scottish Universities.

PHIL JOHNSTON-Forward. 22 years old. Previously with Aberdeen University, Cowdenbeath, Hearts and Scottish Universities.

ROSS MIDDLEMIST-Forward. 25 years old. Previously with Whitehill Welfare, Edinburgh University. British University champions with uni.
